Welcome to the TGO Photo Club
The TGO Photo Club is a vibrant and growing community of photography enthusiasts. Whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned photographer, our club offers a welcoming space to enhance your skills, share your passion for photography, and participate in a variety of exciting photography-related activities.
Who We Are
We are a diverse group of photographers, from beginners to seasoned professionals. Our members come together to inspire each other, learn new techniques, and enjoy the beauty of photography. We offer a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can grow as a photographer, regardless of experience level. New members are always welcome!
Our Purpose
Our goal is simple: to promote excellence in photography. We emphasize the joy of sharing work, exchanging ideas, and exploring new techniques. Whether you're a long-time photography lover or someone who simply appreciates great images, the TGO Photo Club is the perfect place to connect with others, share your work, and deepen your photography knowledge.
What We Do
We offer a variety of activities that cater to all interests and skill levels. From monthly photo challenges and workshops to field trips and educational programs, we’re all united by a shared passion for capturing the world through a lens. One of our highlights is our friendly in-club competitions, where members showcase their images and continue to learn from one another.
Our Focus
As residents of The Great Outdoors RV/Golf Resort, nature and wildlife photography hold a special place in our club. However, we embrace all genres of photography, including landscape, urban, portrait, family, experimental, photo-art, travel, photojournalism, street photography, and more. Whether capturing the beauty of local wildlife or experimenting with new techniques, there’s something for everyone.
How to Join Us
The TGO Photo Club is open to all, regardless of your photography experience or equipment (yes, smartphones are welcome!). Interested in joining? You can visit us at any of our meetings, typically held on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from December through April. Our meetings take place at either the Plantation Manor or the TGO Nature Center. Membership dues are voluntary, just $10 per year. We’d love to have you with us!
About Our Field Trips
Throughout the year, we organize exciting field trips to a range of locations across central Florida. These trips usually occur on weekends and last for half a day, giving members the chance to explore new environments and practice their photography in the field.
